Official iPhone App

Taylor official iPhone App is now available for FREE. Click here to get the application.

Taylor Swift’s Fans Belong With Free iPhone App

For celebrities, iPhone apps can be a blessing and a curse. They promise all kinds of up-to-the minute info right at your fingertips, but they are not without their flaws. Sometimes they are just slow to load. Other times they cost a few bucks for the exact same technology that you can get on the Internet for free. So when there’s some real value added, it feels like a step in the right direction. Like with this new Taylor Swift application from iTunes, you’ll get new music, videos, photos, the very latest tour info and the must-have Facebook and Twitter connections. So if she tweets, you find out immediately. But what I think sets this one apart from some other artist apps is that it will allow fans to connect with other fans and share pictures and stories on the Fan Wall. Right now, that consists mostly of fans telling Swift what’s on their minds (“My 3-year-old loves you” and “U inspired me to keep goin and keep my head up even if times are hard!”), but I think it will come to be a kind of virtual meeting place for like-minded people. I also like how Swift took a page out of the Kenny Chesney playbook and made her app totally free.

Also, I’m having problems with my PC right now so my updating ability is currently very limited. I can’t upload any photos right now, so I’m going to add new pictures when I have my FTP program back.
Sorry for the lack of updates. Hope the problem will be sorted out soon. Thanks for visiting. xx

Taylor is ELLE Cover Girl

Taylor Swift is ELLE’s latest cover girl.
Here’s a bit of the interview from ELLE magazine’s April issue.

Taylor Swift
ELLE’s April cover girl on media scrutiny, her fears, and those revealing lyrics

March 04, 2010 7:00 p.m.

Photo: Alexei Hay

On who she thinks is hot: “Um, well…Taylor Lautner.”

On whether she’s really “fearless”: “I overthink everything. I overanalyze everything.”

On one of her biggest fears: “Me making a bunch of bad decisions and embarking on a painful, slow, devastating tailspin.”

On media scrutiny: “I’ve had countless opportunities to do some really bad things. And then people start combing through everything I do trying to find the next mistake and misperception, which leads to more scrutiny. Like, if I go to a bar, even if I’m not drinking, who’s to say that a source isn’t going to say that I was doing something I shouldn’t have been doing? So it’s not only about your own moral compass, but the moral compasses of other people that you don’t know.”

On yearning to visit Nashville as a child: “I just got it into my head that there was this magical place that I needed to go to because that was where dreams come true.”

On sourcing material from her romantic relationships: “I like to categorize the various levels of heartbreak. I’ve only had that happen once. A letdown is worth a few songs. A heartbreak is worth a few albums.”

Taylor nominated for 5 ACM!

Taylor is nominated for 5 ACM! Congrats Taylor.
She’s nominated for entertainer of the year, top female vocalist, video of the year (You Belong With Me), song of the year performer (You Belong With Me), and song of the year composer (You Belong With Me).

Expect Swift — who swept the CMAs last fall with four wins including the coveted entertainer of the year title — to do just as well at the ACMs. In addition to her entertainer of the year bid, Swift contends for female vocalist and is up for three awards for “You Belong With Me” — video of the year, song of the year performer and song of the year co-writer.

At last fall’s CMAs, Swift ended the three-year reign of Kenny Chesney as the top entertainer. His loss there had been foretold by his defeat for the same award — after four wins in a row — at last spring’s ACMs to Carrie Underwood. Underwood — who co-hosted the CMA Awards — had won female vocalist there for the previous three years but was bested by Swift.

Peter Max paints Taylor Swift

Tampa Bay Online reported that Peter Max has painted a portrait of Taylor Swift, using the cover of Fearless as the photo. You can view it on Tampa Bay Online by clicking the link above.

So what do you give the girl with a massive hit, Grammys, a new house in Nashville and millions of adoring fans? Apparently, a portrait done by artist Peter Max is not a bad place to start.

Max — still going strong at 72 — has an exhibit this weekend at Michael Murphy Gallery in Tampa. When he learned he would be in town the same week as Swift, he offered to do a portrait of her for our cover. Considering the number of magazine covers he’s done, plus all those portraits of President Obama, the Statue of Liberty — well, it was a no-brainer for us.

Max didn’t want to do it without Swift’s permission, but that was a no-brainer for her, as well.

Told of the idea while flying to Los Angeles for the Grammys, Swift “was thrilled,” according to spokeswoman Paula Erickson. Since Swift just turned 20 in December, we were curious about how she would know that much about Max, who rose to prominence in the 1960s.

Swift explained it to us this week after we sent her an image of the painting.

“When I was growing up, my family spent our summers in Stone Harbor, New Jersey, and I remember there was this art gallery on 96th Street,” she said. “I used to walk past it and stop in my tracks whenever there was a Peter Max painting on display — I think I was 8or 9 the first time I saw one of his paintings.

“The colors were so vibrant and beautiful! His art is like another world to me, and I can’t even explain how much it means to me that he did my portrait.”

Swift picked the photo for Max to use for his painting, choosing the cover of “Fearless.” Max will exhibit the painting at his show this weekend along with many more paintings. But the Swift portrait is not for sale; plans call for Max to give the painting to Swift.

Thanks Steve.
