Taylor Swift on ELLE
ELLE has posted their interview with Taylor on their website.
ELLE: You started writing music when you were 12, and your first record came out when you were 16. How long were you actually in high school?
Taylor Swift: I was in high school freshman and sophomore year, and then I went on the road. I homeschooled the rest of the way. My brother’s always calling me the dropout of the family.
ELLE: Do you even have a driver’s license?
TS: I did get my driver’s license in tenth grade, but I failed my permit test so many times that I ended up just bursting out crying the last time I went to the DMV. They gave [me a permit] because they felt bad, and I only missed it by one question.

Taylor Swift: Elle Supermarket Sweeps!
Taylor Swift is the perfect mix of glam and groceries in the July 2009 issue of Elle magazine, donning a silk Ralph Lauren gown in a supermarket aisle in Hendersonville, Tenn.
The 19-year-old couldn’t be more proud of her sophomore album and dished to the mag about her Fearless pride.
Taylor shared, “Fearless is a record I will look back on when I’m 85 and think, I’m really proud of that piece of music. It’s my diary from the time I was 16 to 18. I’ll never capture that in a better way.”
