Taylor talks Fearless| admin | Media, News

There’s a video on Big Machine Records site of Taylor talks about her upcoming release, FEARLESS - Available November 11.

It’s on the video section.

The Day has a review of Taylor and Rascal Flatts concert at Mohegan Sun Arena. Here’s an excerpt:

Few country performers are on a hotter winning streak right now than Taylor Swift. She has racked up a slew of hit songs — which she also happened to have written or co-written. Oh, and she’s just 18. And pretty. And a polished, energetic stage performer.

It takes a lot to upstage this It Girl. Amusingly, during her Saturday concert at Mohegan Sun Arena, she was in danger of just that. Her band members were still feeling the Halloween spirit and were all dressed up — with two guitarists turned out as hilariously accurate approximations of members of KISS, from their make-up right down to their mile-high platform boots. Even Swift herself cracked up when, during the sunny “Our Song,” she turned to see a faux Gene Simmons staring back at her.

Taylor went with her gut instinct| admin | News

Taylor told People.com that she went with her gut instinct when casting her vote on the presidential election.

Taylor Swift voted for the first time Thursday and she tells PEOPLE exclusively that casting a ballot for president made her feel “so completely American.”

The 18-year-old country star waited in line in Sumner County, Tenn., for an hour and a half on the last day of the state’s early voting period. “I wasn’t going to be able to vote on Nov. 4 because I’m going to be in L.A.,” she explains. “But there wasn’t a chance I was going to let this slip away.”

Though Swift tried to go unnoticed, the leggy blonde star was easily spotted and doled out autographs while she waited. “The line wrapped around the building,” she laughs, “but I can honestly tell you that it was worth the wait. I felt like I really accomplished something special. It’s like exercising – you think about it and you’re like, ‘Wow, there’s going to be a long line, there’s going to be a lot of effort involved,’ but afterwards you feel so good.”

Swift, who spoke with PEOPLE in Nashville before the taping of a CMT Giants special honoring Alan Jackson, says she “can’t share” whether Barack Obama or John McCain got her vote, but says she made an effort to educate herself on both candidates.

“I watched the debates and I read all kinds of articles on each person and each vice president and what they believe in and where their priorities are,” she says.

In the end, however, “I went with my gut instinct,” she says. “I wavered back and forth the entire time I was waiting in line and when I got into the voting booth, I said, ‘That’s the one I’m voting for,’ and I pressed the button. And I feel good about it!”

Swift says she and her friends have been swept up in politics this year like never before. “I’ve never, ever seen in any election the passion about voting before in people my age,” she says. “Everyone I know is obsessed with their opportunity to vote. I see people getting involved and there is something really, really beautiful about that.”

Happy Halloween| admin | Random Thoughts

Happy Halloween to all Taylor Swift fans!

Unfortunately I’ll be very busy for today and I don’t think I will be able to update. So yeah that’s my only update today and it’s not even an update.

Sorry guys. I’ll catch up tomorrow.

EDIT: Yes I said less than an hour ago, I wouldn’t be able to update. I wasn’t going to but I just realized that You’re Not Sorry is #1 on iTunes. Not only in the country section but in the  overall top songs! Congrats to Taylor and all of her fans. Keep up the good job everyone. :)

Okay that’s it. My last update today.

Site Updates| admin | Media, Site Updates

News has been lacking today so I decided to update the site a little bit. Anyway, Taylor will perform live on Good Morning America on Monday, Nov. 10 and that night will make her debut appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman.

Such a busy girl.

I updated the important dates section on the sidebar. I also added 2 more wallpapers on the wallpapers section.

Don’t forget to buy You’re Not Sorry on iTunes and keep voting for Taylor at AMA.

Taylor to be at TRL Finale| admin | News

First of all, check this out:

Taylor Swift has been confirmed to join the finale of MTV’s TRL. The show will air November 16th starting 8pm. It will be hosted by Carson Daly and Damien Fahey.

Aside from performers and countdowns, another “TRL” staple has always been the guest appearances and “Total Finale Live” will be no exception. Diddy, whose 36 appearances on “TRL” stands as the current record, will return to the studio once more, and Mariah Carey and her five octave voice will stop by to discuss the influence that “TRL” had on her mind-blowing career. Country music chart-topper Taylor Swift and pop starlet Hilary Duff will join rappers Ludacris, Nelly and Snoop Dogg along with rock music’s Benji and Joel Madden of Good Charlotte, Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst, and Korn’s Jonathan Davis to talk about their most memorable “TRL” moments.

On other news, Taylor Swift dolls are available at Wal-Mart.
The scaled-down versions of Swift are exclusively available at Wal-Mart stores nationwide for just under $15, and come in advance of her sophomore album, Fearless, set for release Nov. 11.

Upping the collectible ante, one of the Swift dolls even comes complete with the singer’s trademark bedazzled guitar, while others are themed: the Taylor Swift Sundress Medley, Pretty in Pink and Red Carpet Ready dolls—all wearing outfits inspired by clothes donned by Swift in real life—are among the versions already launched.

EDIT: Thanks to Lindsey from Big Machine Records, we have some banners to support Taylor and her song You’re Not Sorry. You can see example at the top fold of this page. Anyway, if you want a banner, you can get one here. You can use these banners in myspace, websites, etc. If the code doesn’t work please inform me. Thanks

Got Milk Behind The Scenes| admin | Media, News

OK! Magazine has the exclusive behind the scenes video of Taylor’s got milk ad!

“I’ve always seen the ads in the magazines and thought, ‘If that could be me, I would be so lucky!’ Also anything that promotes good health is something that I believe in.”
While Taylor says there was a lot of pressure on her to change herself to fit into the crowd in high school, this megastar is happy now just to be herself.
“I don’t try to blend in anymore,” she reveals, “It’s more about standing out.”

BodyByMilk has a new Taylor page. You can download the ad, fan kit, and more. You can also win an autographed guitar by entering the Body By Milk Celebrity Reporters contest

EDIT: added the pictures from Got Milk Ad, credit goes to Just Jared and Body By Milk
